Our heat-treated fertilizer product is OMRI (Organic Materials Review Institute) listed and approved for use in ground-touch crops with no pre-harvest application interval required. We have pellets and crumbles that are both suitable for organic farming. The pellets are easily handled and spreadable with lime spreaders. The crumbles are spreadable with lawn spreaders or fertilizer boxes on corn planters.

Our composted poultry manure improves soil health by increasing organic matter and microbe activity. Our compost is high in calcium to help build healthy plant cell membranes and is an excellent source of slow-release nitrogen.

Please contact us if you are interested in our fertilizer or compost product.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does cage free mean?

Cage Free means that hens are allowed to roam freely in their home. Cage Free hens all have the ability to express natural behaviors such as nesting, dust bathing, foraging, and perching in the barn.

What do your chickens eat?

Our Chickens eat a special diet, formulated exclusively for them by a poultry nutritionist. The diets vary based on age and production stage of the hen, and consist mostly of corn, soy, essential amino acids, vitamins, and minerals among other ingredients.

What is American Humane?

American Humane is one of the oldest and most established third-party animal welfare certifying organizations in the United States. American Humane producers have committed their operations to the humane treatment of animals under the guidelines outlined in the American Humane Certified™ animal welfare standards.

What is different about your Omega-3 eggs?

Our Omega-3 eggs come from hens whose’ diet is supplemented with flax seed, creating an egg that is an excellent source of Omega-3. Our Omega-3 eggs have 200 mg of Omega-3 per egg!

What is the difference between white and brown eggs?

Generally, brown hens lay brown eggs, and white hens lay white eggs, though this is not always the case. What color egg a hen lays is determined by hen genetics!

Do you wash your eggs?

Yes, USDA requires all commercially produced eggs to be washed in the processing plant with warm water.

Why don’t my hard-cooked eggs peel easily?

Your eggs could actually be too fresh! The fresher the eggs, the harder they are to peel. Eggs that have been in your refrigerator for longer will peel easier.

Which egg carton is more sustainable, paper (pulp) or plastic egg cartons?

Both pulp and plastic egg cartons are sourced from recycled materials! Pulp cartons are sourced from recycled paper, and plastic cartons are sourced from plastic recycling.

Why do some eggs have double yolks?

Sometimes, it just happens! And other times, it may be related to age of the hen. A hen may ovulate two follicles (yolks) when she is young and just coming into production, or when she is older.

What is in your fertilizer?

Our fertilizer consists of pure chicken manure! The manure is heat treated to kill any pathogens living in it, and then is pelletized to make it easy to use for your garden.

What is your fertilizer good for?

Our fertilizer is approved for use on organic farms or gardens! Our fertilizer is an excellent source of slow-release nitrogen.
